The only printed GTA 6 map Rockstar has announced sits inside a $400 box

Rockstar's $399.99 Vice City Collection holds the only printed Leonida map it has announced — and the photo shows a souvenir poster, not GTA V's fold-out atlas.

Rockstar has finally said where you can get a paper map of Leonida, and the answer is a $400 box. The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, announced on the Newswire on Thursday, costs $399.99, contains eleven items, and ends its own product listing with a line in bold italics: Grand Theft Auto VI game sold separately. Item eleven is a "Double-Sided Souvenir Poster with Map of Leonida."

That is currently the only printed map of GTA 6's world Rockstar has committed to selling anyone.

The map used to come free, in the case

A fold-out map in the box was a Rockstar habit for two console generations. GTA V's 2013 retail copies shipped with a double-sided poster of Los Santos and Blaine County tucked behind the disc; when the game was re-released on PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2022 and the poster quietly vanished, that absence was itself treated as news by people who unboxed it early.

GTA 6 removes the case as well as the map. As we wrote when the leaker's no-disc grievance turned out to be printed on Rockstar's own support page, the boxed edition is a download code in a keep case — there is no disc for a map to sit behind, and Rockstar has not announced a printed map with any edition of the game itself. The $80 version, the $100 Ultimate Edition and the boxed version all arrive as the same download. The map arrives at $399.99.

And it looks like a souvenir, not an atlas

Rockstar's own product photo is worth a close look before anyone treats this as the fold-out map returning. The shot shows the poster's front on top — a nine-panel cartoon grid in the style of a classic GTA cover, built entirely from the in-universe TV show Macca the Gator, down to a martini-drinking alligator and Chunkee the Manatee. Behind it, only partly visible, is the map side: deep blue water, giant 3-D "Leonida" lettering, a sunglasses-wearing sun, a flamingo, and the state's land drawn as loose gold shapes.

That is beach-gift-shop art. Rockstar's description promises "a full view of the Leonida map," and the geography may well be accurate underneath the styling, but nothing in the photo suggests the dense street-and-freeway atlas that people pinned to bedroom walls after 2013 — and nothing about it is going to help you find a specific road in Port Gellhorn.

Eight weeks out, Rockstar is on its fifth straight Thursday announcement, and the pattern is consistent: the album, the controllers, now the collectibles. The paper map is the first of these that used to be free.
